The Indian Village would not be possible without the generous contributions of our many supporters. Two of our major donors—the Gordon Thomsen Family and the Boehnen Family provided the funding needed to construct our unique archeological facility and our museum and gift shop. These families are joined by a distinguished group of other Indian Village supporters whose enthusiasm and foresight about the importance of historic preservation and the need to build bridges among cultures will enrich our lives today and for future generations.
The Indian Village is primarily supported through membership, sponsorship, admission, gift-shop sales, and contributions from our generous individual and corporate major donors. We have also received some federal, state, and private foundation funding. We want to acknowledge recent support we've received from the state as part of Governor Rounds' commitment to building bridges among Native and non-Native cultures and expanding tourism in South Dakota.

Event Sponsors
The Indian Village is offering a series of special events that will be widely promoted in the media, through advertisements and displays, in the community, through our website, and to our membership. We invite businesses and other organizations interested in receiving public exposure for their support of the Indian Village to become a sponsor of one or more of these events. There are several different sponsorship levels—starting at $250 and going to $25,000 for a five-year sponsorship. Each one offers a set of benefits to the sponsor. Major Donors
We welcome contributions from individuals and organizations who want to make a large gift in support of the Indian Village overall, or in support of some particular project or part of the Village's objectives. Donors can help underwrite our scientific excavation and documentation work, support an expansion of our educational work. Our upcoming building campaign will include opportunities for individuals and companies to get involved at many different levels.
Brick Walkway
 Have you name or the name of someone special engraved in a Prehistoric Indian Village Walkway Brick. A patterned brick walkway provides an interesting entrance to the Archeodome
These rugged sandblasted bricks are a great way to become a permanent part of the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village. And they're a lasting symbol of your support for the important archeological work that goes on at this site. A walkway Brick can also make a wonderful gift or a touching memorial to someone you love.

Other Individual Donations
No level of contribution is too small to be valued by the Indian Village. Individuals can make a donation to the Village that can help underwrite the cost of a classroom field trip, purchase items for the museum or archeodome, support our excavation work, or support our efforts to build bridges across cultures.
Federal, State, and Foundation Grants
The Indian Village will pursue targeted grants from federal, state, and foundation sources to support specific projects undertaken by the Village. Funding from these sources will be highly leveraged with money from our other contributors. The Indian Village appreciates recommendations for potential grants that may be a good fit for the Village.
